This blog is meant to be about my African adventure, however I only made the decision to go and volunteer in Africa when things in Australia didn't go quite to plan... Iv been in Australia for 2 years and it is extremely hard for me to say goodbye. It's been a roller coaster of ups and downs and I have met some incredible ...

On the 28th Margaret drove part of the way from Margaret River to Pemberton with us. She showed us many of the estates mentioned above, a fantastic beach on the way to Cape Naturaliste (the extreme South-West of Australia), a huge hole in the ground of a forest... It is amazing how many little things are required to do in order to prepare for an extensive trip. Packing the house, prepping the van, acquiring all the portable items (gas hot water shower will be the saviour after an extended drive over the Nullabor or washing off the salt)
I will be packing the van over the next couple of days, packing the house into one room and then boosting it on Saturday.
First stop Hyden and Wave Rock, then onto Esperance.

It was far colder in the wind, Jo had wrapped herself in a towel to keep warm against the wind, so Neil moved us to a sheltered cave carved out by the sea, and we all sat sheltered in our cosy cove for a little sun bathing out of the others beach bums view. Jo spotted her boss from this ...

Another fabulous day. 29 degrees and no wind!
We played games and did a jig-saw puzzle until Whiteman's park opened at 8:30. First in the gate and explored more areas- this Parkland is huge. Long walk with the lads on their bikes alongside us. Callum spotted 2 Stumpy-Tail Blue-toungue lizards by the ...
