Woke early - our early - and were up by 6.30 so we could have a Cooked breakfast before our walk today . Left the parking area 8.25 am and set off up the Carnarvon Gorge, we had not gone very far before we had a river crossing. ( all the crossings have had large rocks placed so you can walk across without getting wet feet ) not long after that we had steps to climb, and that was only the beginning. The total walk to all the various points of interest would be over 22 km , we decided ...

I didn't scream at all during free fall (those of you who get the chance to see the video from this will know I am telling the truth) I honestly was to petrified to make any noise. We shared a meal at Jack's bar (all filled with Jack Daniels whiskey and similarly themed drinks, merchandise and meals). The 3 hour layover time was more than enough, and we sat waiting for ...

... enjoyable for Tony than me, 309 to a miserable 212.

On our way to Pemberton in the SW Forests, on 18th June, we called into Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks – truly beautiful swimming spots which reminded us a little of Mermaids Pool at Bridport. We stopped at Walpole and trotted into the Information Centre – often the first stop when we reach a new place, they are full of free stuff about the area and staffed by great locals who love a chat ...

... Aswell as many birds that are colourful and enormous crows that whine like demented children, we saw koalas, baby crocs, emus, turtles, eagles, wallabies, dingos, owls, quolls, wombats, echnidas and of course kangaroos, which were the second laziest things I've ever seen, only second to koalas whom sleep for 20 hours a day! A picnic of fruit and apple pie was enough for a late lunch, and we moved on to the Swan Valley region afterwards which is a wine region nearby ...
