    ... exciting thing we saw was a protest of Bulgarians with Russian flags protesting against the U.S. About 10 people...no crowd. Just a TV camera.     ... was discovered during WWII while they were digging for .....something!? Not too terrible exciting. We did have a chance to meet Stefan's mom at the museum- that was cute! Of course no English! Our last stop with our sack lunches was at a Russian Church - one of only two in Bulgaria. It was stunning! Then it was back on the bus for a four hour drive.     ... in Varna. It's just a seaside city, nothing really there. Why there is definitely a bit of history here it is limited to what you can see pretty much everywhere else in the country- a set of roman baths here, a nice orthodox church there, etc. If you are after a beach holiday do not come here- with the ever dominant locals lack of regard for proper litter disposal I'd heed the advice of my other hoteliers and go south to the beaches around ...
