... English.We were soon settled in a lovely room with views half way to the moon! Guy sussed out strong Chilean connection of gorgeous owner (photos on wall, books on table in lounge etc) and spent pleasant half hour or so in Chilean repartee with Inigo O'Shea Prats (how's that for name!). He is Spanish but has spent considerable time in Chile - he almost built his hotel there but decided on this beautiful mountain in Spain because weather was better all year ...

As soon as we got there, we headed off to Talavera - a town famous for its ceramics - about an hour away. Maria Jose´s husband is starting a microbrewery and was having a mini-open house for family and friends. Well, as I sit and write this latest entry, you can almost hear a pin drop inside the Gredos Centre Lodge. It's quiet time, and I dont think anyone will argue with 30 minutes to rest the legs that have wandered and roamed the sleepy hills this morning around Valdeascas.
It was the second nature trail in as many days and it encompassed some glorious waterfalls, rivers and rocky paths that took us in total around 5 kilometres. Plenty of time was included ...
