My arrival on Paros didn't get off to a very good start, as when I arrived into the port at Parikia, there was no one from the hotel there to take me to the resort. Fortunately, a nice man called Danos who was selling rooms, offered to call my hotel and let them know that I was waiting for them. ... are taken. Absolutely breathtaking. We wandered around and took some photos. There is a castle ruin there too which we looked at. I was shocked to see another stray dog, just sitting on the edge of this castle. He looked so peaceful. He was an old boy, the years of being stray had taken its toll. He was asleep, overlooking the sea and cliffs. He paid no attention to anyone that walked past. We met up with our group again and then went to a hotel, which had a lookout over the ocean. ...
... in the museum part of the historic area in a castle. The castle had lots of alleys, and walkways and small little shopping outlets throughout the walkways. We had to organise ourselves as we often forget the shopping times, as they have siestas for a while in the afternoon, and the shops are closed for a couple of hours. We also walked along the beach and saw the gorgeous sunset. The colours were so vivid.

It does seem to be the past time in some places, and something we have struggled with getting used to is the cigarette smoke. It's accepted in most places, and we have seen a lot of teenagers smoking in groups ...
