... very functional. Gaudi designed it so that natural light could get into every room in the house, he designed vents to let in air and light but not the rain, and he even designed the hand rails on the stairs and the door handles so that the would fit perfectly comfortable in your hand. We were quite exhausted after all this today and taking in so much information, and seeing as we are in Spain, we went back to the hotel for a siesta before ...

... food is at the moment! So I don't get it as being a tourist attraction! Having said that, I did get a big cup of fresh fruit. Yum! After walking past a heap more shops that all sold the same things, a big statue of Christopher Columbus signalled that we got to the end of La Rambla, where it opened right up to the waterfront. ... subway to see the Segrada Familia church that Gaudi designed. Wow!! It was breathtaking. So unique and beautiful! It is huge and they are still building. Then we took the subway back to the main section and saw a block of unique houses. Then we were cut loose do do our own thing. Franci and I went directly to the Casa Mila, another Gaudi home with an incredible roof full of whimsical columns that were ...

El meu aerolliscador està ple d'anguiles!!

      Today is the day!!

We woke up early this morning to drive to Barcelona! It was about a three to four hour drive, not so long, but longer than I thought it was going to be.

Once we arrived, we found the hostel that we are staying at fairly easily. No thanks to the GPS though! That thing was so confused most of the time. It ended up making us drive around in circles for ages. If I hear "Recalculating" one more time, I might faint out of annoyance. ...
