cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!
This weekend IES Barcelona went on a huge "study journey" (it's college speak for field trip) to Costa Brava. The map you're seeing only lets me put one location, which is whack because in the course of three days I've been to six different towns. But most of them show up on that map.
Friday morning came way too soon for my group, which had to meet at Placa Catalunya at 7 45. When I got onto the bus I promptly passed out. And when I woke up, it ...
Calella De Palafrugell, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands asalvaire... half - v v v v v v briefly and only to me. I tried to take a photo but only got one of the locals.....oh well
We then headed back to town to drop off the car...no real dramas other than v heavy traffic.
We then went on to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral - that was started in late 1800's and only has 25-30 ...
... has a patio on the roof with a gorgeous view of the old town. It would be great to hang out but I only have an hour or so before sunset to see the city. Again, I walk along the top of the town wall's fortifications. At sunset, I made it to a great overlook of the 14th-century cathedral. It is supposed to have an amazing interior but I am far too late. I just enjoy the sunset behind the cathedral with the mountains as a backdrop.

... feel like i am touching the sun. We went back to the campsite bar hoping to further develop our representations. Unfortunately nothing was going on and we soon left. After this we bravely approached a group of girls (of which none of them i was interested in Tiff because you are amazing) on the beach but due to a lack of language skills ...
Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain chris_jones01... busted into a campsite to enjoy some free entertainment. We danced like fools amongst people on family holidays. After taking it up a peg and getting up on stage the DJ started to play happy birthday!!!! unfortunately no one joined in due to a lack of popularity gained from dancing offensively and clearing the dance floor by smelling really really bad. Although all was good because a group of mums asked olly to take his top off.

Cycling toward the Pyrenees with flip flops and an orange in my front basket which is quite loosely attatched to my failing 25 year old bike I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. What a ridiculous task. Fortunately, the road we were on turned out to cut through the mountains and it was a ...
... would be able to get to the plane on time we took a bus to Girona where we spent the night a small hotel that was a five minute walk from the airport terminal.
The terminal itself was covered with young people sleeping on the floor of the airport all night waiting for their flight in the morning. The hotel was full of older passengers and some families also waiting for RyanAir.
One of the reasons that we decided to rent an apartment in Barcelona instead of staying in a hotel was the ability to wash our own clothes in the washing machine in the kitchen. What we didn't realize until Saturday night was that there was no drier. We washed all of our clothes and set them out to dry overnight, but in the morning they were still pretty damp. Luckily, we had brought compression sacs (think giant ziplock bags), so we put the moist ...
