It was a completely unexpected change of plans and we wondered if the extra effort even made it worth going. In the end we decided to go for it! When we were walking along the jungle road each carrying 17kg backpacks for over 3 Km's we did later question that decision. As we took the boat through mangroves ...

... 10.30pm, I headed with a bus to the station of colectivos headed for Playa del Carmen, where I was headed tonight to meet up again with Ailed. After I got out at a wrong intersection and got lost, I had to flag a cab in the middle of the highway to find my way back to the house. ... Idol, so I will take it.
When we got back to the room, we felt a little hungry, and lucky for us, room service is available 24 hours a day!! Say what?! So now we are awaiting some pizza and diet sodas to be delivered to our room. I should probably not get used to being so spoiled.
Tomorrow it is early to rise for a 6am departure to Chichen Itza. And then Friday is the wedding. More fun will be shared later. Thanks for checking in. ;)
