A day at sea
... by another bout of doing nothing. At 4pm Gill headed off to pilates, me to the
jogging track where I did 3 circuits which is equivalent to a mile. It seemed
much further as it was so hot and I didn’t feel that fit. I thought I was doing
ok until a chap of around 90 years overtook me. I vowed to trip him up if he
came passed me again but I didn’t see him anymore , luckily for him.... ...

Tonight we will go into old town for dinner. We saw a lot of nice resturants during our walk.
Tomorrow we leave and head for the Parko Nazionale d' Abruzzo, which is a large park in the middle of Italy. We are staying for 2 nights. There is no wifi there, so the next blog will be from Rome, on Wednesday or Thursday.

... we pulled out the maps and charts than Ursula got an email from her sister in Sweden telling her that her eldest daughter Sofia and her 11 year old daughter Sandra were going to Trogir in Croatia on the 18th. Sandra is a majorette in the local marching band from their town. They were scheduled to play in Trogir on 20th and in Split on 21st June.
Thus at 4am on 16th June we set sail back towards Lastovo, Croatia

Rough Seas Ahead
I was disappointed to hear that our boat ride in the Adriatic was cancelled due to rough seas. Apparently this was a rare occurrence since the Adriatic is usually very calm, which only added to my feeling of misfortune. But not all hope is lost. Our tour group instead went to one of the first documented Christian cemetery. Granted it wasn't much to look at, the historical significance was not lost upon me. But the best part was ...
