nous avons eu le temps de prendre quelques coupes de vin local, accompagne d'excellent bruchetta avant de prendre le train pour milan.

Checked out Juliette's House as it was included in the Verona card we got, but it was pretty **** and not worth paying for separately. She never even lived there...

Verona is a nice little town, but 1 day was plenty enough and time to move on to Milan

There was also a statue of Juliet which is meant to bring you good luck if you rub her right breast. Her right breast is very polished!

... is so confident and travels by herself? It surely can't be the same girl who used to eat lunch in a bathroom stall if she was alone can it? (I can admit that now, even though it is embarrassing and sad) I felt so proud of myself. No matter how difficult life is, I can see that what I set out to accomplish-self confidence, finding myself, putting myself in uncomfortable situations to see how I handle them-I have come a long way, and I am proud!

Even on a Monday night, there were lots of people out and about enjoying the restaurants – we notice that while we are having dinner, most people in Europe are having drinks or coffee and they eat later. We also have a theory that TV in Europe is pretty lame (American shows from years ago) because everyone is out, rather than home watching it.

The tunnel to the courtyard is covered with love notes. As we were leaving, I couldn’t see Greg, so I said “Romeo, Romeo, where art thou Romeo” and the girls didn’t think that was funny!

We got out of the madness and went back to the hotel for a siesta before dinner.

There were market stalls in one of the piazzas and I found someone selling chestnuts so I was happy- I hadn’t seen any in Innsbruck and they didn’t seem to be too common in Verona. As we were looking for somewhere to eat, we noticed that all of the restaurants had similar menus, and go figure, it was all Italian food. We hardly saw restaurants for any other type of food.

Arriving in Peschiera del Garda station the heat is remarkable, We sit on a bench under a tree waiting for the taxi to arrive.
