... amusing new world problems, all sorted thanks to man power! Overall a very enjoyable time with great people for company. Two nights now with a free day between. Our guide has buggered off leaving me his mobile number- at last! We are thinking of training it down from Colombo to Galle at a massive cost of 65 rupee each. Less than 40p for a 100km journey. Catch up: We left the "Evil Coconut Hotel" the day before yesterday and enjoyed a short scenic drive along the coast via the Turtle Hatchery to Galle only some 45 km away. A long twisting 6 hour drive down South is in prospect. Sri Lankan driving goes something like this:- In a 50kph limit do 75kph - no less...... wherever possible head for the backside of a tuk tuk.....honk horn at tuk tuk and pass slowly.......... taking time to smile at the driver .......but only when you have made sure there is ...

After a rather uneventful flight to Dubai in the A380 and then a bumpy ride to Colombo, we were whisked through customs on account of me holding Kiley. SO many of these Asian countries take a strong liking to families with children and send them to the front of the line. We were picked up outside the airport and driven about an hour and a half or two to our villa by the ...

... we didnīt want to miss the Fort of Galle only because of the significant absence of energy. Hence, we decided to hire a tuk-tuk for 45 minutes and instructed him to take us around and show us the most important sites inside of the Fort. Thus, we managed to see the Dutch Reform Church and one more church of which name I donīt remember. We could also enter a museum that contained a large private collection of one single man. They tried to sell us some precious stones in many places, ...
