... 3-4 cm in length, so that kind of reassured me. Until of course, one made it's way into the top of my sock, down to the base of my elastic tight, pant bottom, back up and latched itself on my ankle. I never felt anything, and I kept looking down at my shoes to make sure nothing was trying to get a free meal at my expense. But then, out of nowhere, a huge spot of blood appeared on the back of my ankle, through my socks. I ...

... note was that most shops and private collections are closed from 12.30pm to 2pm on Fridays for prayers.

There are many cafes and restaurants where you can have your lunch or sit down for a cup of coffee after a walk along the ramparts. Worthy of mention are the Pedlar's Inn café, Serendipity Arts Café, Crepe-ology Café. Or you can sit on the 1st floor of Rampart Hotel Café and watch the magnificent sunset. The Galle Fort is very touristy and you ...
