Houston airports relatively new " shuttle tram train " gets you efficiently between gates that go on for ever. No 1.5 mile jaunts through the airport from two years ago . We kept a look out for Clay, the awesome United steward from last stopover. No Clay but someone there to replace the cranky, aged, Rob Roy beach seeking bull in a china shop stewardess with a lip stick smile from last time around.....and another carry on baggage over filled flight that brought out ...
Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.
Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... was boarding our seating area. Perfect! I planned it that way all along...Once we got on the plane, it was easy sailing to Chicago. There were no free drinks on this flight, but I think it was actually a better experience than BA. Maybe because no one sat in the seat in the middle next to me.
We landed in Chicago at about 2pm. The international terminal is outside of the secured area, so we had to go to our next airline terminal, ...
... One chick just lay flat out, exhausted beside it's shell for ages - it looked like I felt after childbirth! I guess exhaustion is relative.
Another display had the chicks that were a few days old and they were standing and running around under the lights and were the usual yellow balls of fluff - gorgeous.
In the lobby area of the stadium behind glass, were the winning quilts. Now quilting is not usually my cup of tea but one of them ...
