We were made to put every piece of belongings into a locker (for a fee of course and also fingerprint to insert and remove belongings) and could only take out ticket and camera beyond that point........ 2nd security check incase we swam across maybe????? Who knows.

But then the ultimate took place. Talking about a ...

A Quick Trip to Philly

Just a quick one to say hi to all my mates from another US city of the revolution (a couple of hundred years ago) now the city of Brotherly Love & soft cheese ! Have spent a few days eating and drinking and catching up with Andy's former life / acquaintances etc - lots of rowing talk and seemingly collecting specimens for a stacked boat at Henley 2010. Back to London on Monday night and work shortly thereafter yeuck.

Donde esta Runnemede?

... and I would have liked to have seen the bell... but, oh well, next time maybe :)

The theatre we were playing was the Irvine Auditorium at University of Pennsylvania. The space was gorgeous. Not a lot of stage or wing space, but the theatre itself was stunning. Clearly it used to be a Cathedral, and now is used for orchestral concerts (amazing accoustics!) and theatre. Funny how that seems to be a recurring theme in history :)

The rehabilitation of the continental army's forces that followed that spring changed the course of the war and, oddly enough, restored the bedraggled soldiers. The establishment of the park was to set aside the land as a means of educating ...

Packing up

(Amy) You know those periods in your life when you feel that you couldn't possibly be more sleep-deprived, only to be proven wrong again and again? That pretty much sums up the past few months. It seems as if we haven't had five moments to call our own, as school and soccer for our children (Jack, age 10; Katharine, age 9; and Alexander, almost 7), work for Jim, and grading ...

My Quest to Blow $20,000

... into place' I really mean I meticulously planned and worked my butt off for years to get to this point. So, June 30, 2005 I quit my job, on the exact day that I became fully vested in my 401k. About a year prior I had begun studying for the GMAT exam, not with the intention of going to business school anytime soon, but mainly because I wanted to have that exam under my belt, the scores stay valid for 5 years and a couple ...
