... Sautéed Shiitake, Enoki & Eryngii Mushrooms, Caramelized Bacon, Sweet Onion Marmalade, Gruyere Cheese and Garlic Chili Aioli. The balance of flavours was amazing! And definitely something I am planning on replicating once we get home.

Satisfied and full, we headed to the hotel to change (big mistake, see why later) for the David Copperfield show where I had booked us front row seats.

Surprisingly the drive out of LA was easy. Darren has this driving on the wrong side of the road down pat. We do loose lefts and tight rights. There's not a lot to see along the way but wide open spaces and lots of desert. We stopped at Barstow to see the Route 66 museum but it is only opened on weekends. Driving through the Mojave desert.
