Well...we haven't gotten to this day yet...we were so busy being HOT...it was 113 degrees coming in...finally "cooled down" to 11 and then 109 upon arrival..wowee! ... at least 4 hours walking around the dam area and going through the information centre. Expecting Lake Mead to be a great place to have a swim we headed off to find the recreational area. $10 later for parking we were told by the very "chipper" toll attendant that yes they did have a beach and pointed us in the right direction.
