... A TAXI! It was so much fun - I've never hailed a taxi before - I felt so grown up!! Washington DC is nowhere near as mental or busy as Manhattan. When I think back to being in a taxi in Manhattan - crazy stuff. Washington DC is much calmer (although not for Glen when he was driving yesterday). $10 later we were at the Smithsonian. It was free! ... RV. We leave the house at 9:30pm and drive to a Walmart south of Washington in Alexandria, VA which is about 20 minutes from the start of the C&O trail. The girls quickly fall asleep in the RV, and we arrive in Alexandria at about 12:30am. I am tired since I woke up at 5am to pack, and I set my alarm for 5:30 so I can go into the store to buy final supplies for the ride.

Our flight boards at about 10:45 PM, which means we'll be flying through the night and arriving in Istanbul, Turkey at 16:40 their time (4:40 PM for all you American readers).
