Today we went to the Islands of Adventure park within the Universal Resort. What a beautiful park! Wonderful theming and just a pleasure to explore. We had a thoroughly good time there. Arrived about 830 but could only get as far as the initial area Port of Landing. So, we sat and had coffee and enjoyed the views until Marvel Comics land was open at about 845. We first tried a ride that was very similar to the old fairground waltzer but here ...
... whole park. We had a fastpass for it which was lucky as the line was at the 2 hour level by then. We more or less walked right on so very worthwhile having the fastpass. About an hour later we joined up with Jodi and Kaleb after the movie ended. Jodi ...
... to get Dinner. The sit down restaurants around where we were were fully booked and we didn't want Casey's hot-dogs again. We didn't really want to walk up to the top of the park in the rain to find a less crowded establishment so decided to go for the even earlier shuttle. I misread the paper and thought it went at 8.15 so we left the park at 7.30 only to find that the pickup wasn't until 8.45. There was no shelter where our bus would stop so we sat under ...
