As I reflect on the last two weeks I thought I would share a couple of the things I have learnt:
remember your room number, it is not fun trying to get into the room number of your previous hotel.
remember to look at the floor number in the lift, if you get out at the wrong floor it can completely throw you into a panic, especially on these 40 odd floor hotels.

We decided to get some food and rang Air B&B to see if they could contact them to jivvy them up a bit and get an answer to us. They were very good and got back to us but not with the answer we wanted. No luck contacting them so we rebooked with someone else and Air B&B said they would ring the new booking straight away for us.
No joy there either!
We tried a third and it was the same story. Does nobody read their emails or ...
... around by JC, a friend we had met in Turkey while travelling. We walked around the main close city sights, then headed to an awesome japanese restaurant. It was unreal.
The next day we headed to Alcatraz. It was kinda like statue of liberty with getting on and off a ferry. Although I'm not for audio tours, we headed into the jail and did one. It was so good. It felt like you were there, and you were able to listen to ...
... game. Sorry to say the Cardinals were not victorious, but it was a great game. As we were leaving Frank was belting out along with the large crowd in the piano bar area Ring of Fire. Ahh....Johnny Cash.
We made it safely home to our hotel after a quick detour through Ghirardelli Chocolate. Can't miss the opportunity for some yummy dark chocolate and cookie dough ice cream even if it is at midnight.

... It was a
cool day and the mist/fog was settling throughout the bay area
obscuring part of the bridge. So while we didn't get any epic bridge
shots, we did get some good ones of the bridge and mist blended
We really needed to keep moving so we
headed towards Yosemite. We had no plans as to where we were
stopping, it al depended on how long everything took but we passed a
KFC and Kaitlin was happy to have the for her dinner. ...
