... Universal Studios to Ted, as opposed to the regular admission. Well today, I found out whether it was worth the extra money.
Because we were so fearful of peak hour Los Angeles traffic, I'd asked the check in staff at the hotel what they though would be the best way to the park would be. They ended up printing out a map with advice to leave early. Therefore, we rose before 7 and departed not long afterwards to be there before our 9.30 tour started.

... I saw the other day mentioning how Australian's don't have to take their shoes off, even when flying to the US. He looks surprised. As I walk through the metal detector the security officer on the other side goes "yay, you made it" when the scanner doesn't go off. It's so strange to see these guys in a good mood and cracking jokes - great last impression of people from Denver!

... night of driving. After showering and power napping it was time to hit happy hour in the tourist area. The only problem was that we were one day late for the real deal. Labor day had just been celebrated and the streets were quite quiet. Did what we could due to the circumstances and finished off the night being entertained by some guy singing for us in front of the beach.
