Monday 26th May, our last full day in Austin and the rain that has threatened for the last few days has finally arrived. It's nice to do the laze around the house thing. A load of washing is done in readiness for the next part of our trip, New York tomorrow. With bellies grumbling we head out for a late lunch. We all enjoy beef fajitas at Lupe Tortilla and margaritas all round. We spend an hour or two re-packing our bags and sorting some bits and pieces to be sent home. We ...
... vibe here was surreal. This may have been due to the laidback and yoga-infused people of Austin or the incredible artists who performed, but I suspect the good vibe was mostly due to the incredible amount of dogs. "B on the G is like a Dog Museum!" Venus showed her bright face as the sun fell, the music stopped and a massive exodus from the park began (after everyone recycled).

... gingerbread village in the lobby with the model train that runs through it. And there are only so many kids that can cycle through a hotel. In a mall, well, it seems like every kid in the world shows up at once.
And at the Teas, there aren't any babies. All the kids are old enough to handle themselves. The babies arrive for the open houses, so there's some crying that goes on, but a few camera flashes later and they move on with their parents. No big ...
