... br> After Opening Ceremonies we went back to the hotel and changed and walked through Times Square to a New York pizzeria! We saw all the Broadway shows and bright lights of the cities. The kids almost fell asleep into their pizzas, so after all that excitement we all quickly checked back in to the hotel and went to sleep!

Nov. 16th stopped at the LBJ ranch on the way to Austin. We took the driving tour around the ranch and then the guided house tour. It was interesting to see. Evidently he spent 25% of his presendency at this ranch, hence it was called the Texas White House.

Austin, was pedal to the metal-everywhere! Everyplace we went it was busy. The highways had traffic jams, malls ...

... hood' days and how the mother of his son was in jail for prostitution. He also asked me what language English people speak and if we have a different alphabet. I loved it. He made the 3 hours go really fast and before I knew it I was in my hostel and met some really awesome people there.

... hard back to the springs. We thoroughly deserved our dip in the springs, which was horribly cold but totally refreshing after our sweaty bike ride. The floor was slippery in the springs but the water was so clear! I was told there were fish in the deeper part but I stayed away from that bit! It was all very lovely and we returned to our cabins well and truly exhausted. Tomorrow we have to get up before 4am for an extra long journey so I'm having an early ...
