... Ranch, about a 30 minute drive.

Flat Rock Ranch was not much at first glance, but the ride was fabulous! We pulled into the caliche parking lot; we were the only car there. We met the very friendly and helpful Barry and Nerida in the campground - a couple from Australia, with their dog, taking a similar trip to us, but going in the opposite direction - shame as we would hae like to spend more time with ...

... through the site of the Alamo. Mostly, it was nice wandering the river walk and dining at the waterside patios. Travel Tip - you can stroll along the river walk with open alcohol, as long as it is not in glass. Also, if you fall in the river you will be fined. Tomorrow I head for the Texas Hill ...
