... statements like "Now we're going to see a town that doesn't have much going on" and "this used to be so nice." I teased her that she really needed to work on her tour guide skills! We visited the town of Jamesport, the largest Amish settlement in Missouri. We checked out some of the stores and saw several horse and buggies drive through town.

After a good night's rest and a quick breakfast at the hotel, we met up with my sister/family and headed to my other sister's house. As we drove into Westminster we saw mountains in the distance. If we allowed our minds to drift a bit, one could be convinced we were driving back home and seeing the Sandia Mountains. Anyway, we didn't have lots of plans for the day as we just were ready for some family time together.

... stop at the visitor center near the summit (closed as it was after 5pm) and took in the views from there. We saw numerous elk in the far off distance. They always look so peaceful because they have an amazing habitat and where they were, no people were going to be bothering them. This is the same spot where we witnessed an elk being born last year. It's gorgeous and we certainly took our share of pictures at this stop.

... park blocks away. We unpack (I repack) and have a rest before we’re back in the car for a short drive to Denver CBD. Betsy is going to get a facial while I explore 16th Street Mall. In the original plan I was to also get a massage, but I cancelled that after changing my travel plans. As Betsy goes for her facial I happily wander around the shops, lost in thought... and excitement about going home. Meeting Betsy after her facial, we walk to the other end of the mall... ...
