... along is not missed. Main uses are
- Backing up all photos taken each day. 1 TB drive has gobs of space
- Wifi network extension. Several times, wifi coverage only reached portions of our room. Put the gadget in that spot and now the whole room has coverage. It's antenna seems to pull in weak signals better than the iPad.
- handing off pictures to others via the drive. AirDrop might handle this but not cross platform.
- Listening to music. 1TB holds a lot. ...

Anyways we visit all the areas we have heard and read about Union square where Tony Bennett's painted heart is along with three others which are to remind us of his song 'I left my heart in San Francisco', pier 39 where the sea lions sleep and Fisherman's Wharf. We also drive by Lombard street and up to the Golden Gate Bridge which was completely hidden by the fog and Golden Gate park.
