    We awoke to rain today so we were glad we had the rental car. We drove around San Francisco but not to downtown as the San Francisco Giants won the World Series the night we arrived and today was the celebratory parade, with roads closed and even museums closed in that area ! So across the Golden Gate Bridge we went and on to Sausilito where we had some lunch at a little organic French cafe called Bio Sausalito 2633 Broadway; again fantastic fresh ...

    ... along is not missed. Main uses are
    - Backing up all photos taken each day. 1 TB drive has gobs of space
    - Wifi network extension. Several times, wifi coverage only reached portions of our room. Put the gadget in that spot and now the whole room has coverage. It's antenna seems to pull in weak signals better than the iPad.
    - handing off pictures to others via the drive. AirDrop might handle this but not cross platform.
    - Listening to music. 1TB holds a lot. ...

    ... a major cities if Cloverdale and then Santa Rosa and vicinity was as uninteresting as it was fast. We passed the beautiful coastline around Bodega. The roads northbound were choked with cars. We were definitely approaching a major city, even if it was mostly hidden behind the Marin Headlands before us. After Sausalito, the Sam Francisco Bay appeared through distant fog.     ... Back to the hotel for quick freshen up an then walked back to Iron Cactus for our first Mexican dinner in the US. Wed 28th Met Kate at her apartment around 930am.
