Turned out to be a gorgeous early fall kind of day. I turned west again, pretty much making a big loop from Huntsville through Algonquin Park and then back to Orillia. Historical signs are often quite interesting regarding local events but I was especially pleased to come across the one at Champlain Park. Here, on Lake Nipissing, is where our Canadian explorers started on their way to the west.
