... in the States. Gas $30.80 (2.54/gal) - WOOT - again! 3:00 - a truck about 5 or 6 car lengths ahead shed a tire. There was a cloud of smoke and an unbelievable stink and the tire whipped off the highway to our right. That is as close to a tire incident that we ever want to see. An excellent example of the dangers of tailgating - not sure what would ...

Turned out to be a gorgeous early fall kind of day. I turned west again, pretty much making a big loop from Huntsville through Algonquin Park and then back to Orillia. The colours alongside the road were just as spectacular as those I saw in Algonquin Park. ... around the shops there and had lunch in a place called the Cottage which was right on the lake. We tried out some Muskoka beers and visited both Tim Hortons. All very Canadian. We sat by the lake in some Muskoka chairs and talked about our trip and the party being planned for us at home. The plan is to all go into Toronto on Saturday and meet up with Nikki, Joey, Andrew and Chris. We are excited about everyone being together. We will go back with Nikki and Joey on Sunday to ...

    Summer Camp

Summer Camp was crazy. One of the most intensive things I have ever done over an extended period of time. There were highs, there were lows but overall I can say I throughly enjoyed the experience. I started my time with Camp Tamarack in Toronto which was a great way to get my head around all these new terms - sequoia, juniper, elder, hawthorn, all day, cabin periods, mini acorn and the list goes on. The two weeks in ...
