Suffice it to say that I praise God and am very blessed to be back here reflecting on all that God has done in me and for me, and get to do all that sitting here on "THIS" porch. ... a breath and enjoy the falls before headeing back to the car and nearly escaping being ran over several times.
The Linville River flows from its beginning point high on Grandfather Mountain and cascades through 2 falls as it begins its 2000 ft descent through the rugged gorge. The Cherokee knew this river as Eeseeoh or "river of Cliffs".
Also John D. Rockefeller picked up the tab for Linville Falls property ensuring its protection for parkway visitors

We are up early and head to Mountain City. We take our shifts and drive knowing at the end we'll be back at the cabin. We're sad that the trip is over. ... to stop overnight parking from now. We chose a site but then decided to have a quick drive around and see if there was anywhere else other than a 24hr car park and found a nice quiet car park at the back of a restaurant. After speaking with the manager, he said it would be fine as long as we were out the way, so we parked up and cooked dinner with smores, washed,watched a Hotel Babylon and then got off to bed.

Around midnight, it started to pour down buckets of rain. Our plans for kayaking in the beautiful lake and hiking the amazing and plentiful trails of Julian Price Memorial Park were immediately canceled by Mother Nature.
