... sped along rather merrily, with Dawna winning hand after hand, but then Karen said "last hand" and the card gods smirked. It went on and on. We must have reshuffled the played cards a dozen times. In the end, the game only ended because Gabe put down a spade so Dawna could go out. If only we had kept an official time on that last hand -- we are convinced our game would have had a place in the "Guinness Book of World Records" as the longest played single hand of Crazy ...

Back to Hood River to begin our fruit looping. This area is a huge fruit growing region. Apples, pears, cherries, plums, grapes and berries. At the moment it is peak apple and pear picking. A trail is provided which you can follow and stop at the various fruit stands and other places of interest.
