... took a drive up to Cannon Beach and found a nice restaurant right on the beach. We had a dish called Slumgullion which is clam chowder topped with Oregon bay shrimp. It was delicious and went nicely with a glass of Oregon wine. Our final day here was the 4th of July. Linda's brother, Rod invited us over for a barbecue. Very nice and we all ate too much as usual. ... set up again. We were hit with the biggest rain storm just outside of Garrison, MT. It was not hard enough to have to stop but the trucks, traffic and the mountains made it a challenge. It only lasted about an hour [ It may have lasted longer but we had places to go].

Phew, that was better. The day started off EARLY! I, for some unknown reason, was up at 630 am. So by 730 we were checked out and on our way to Walmart for supplies. Found some stuff for Brooke I will have to go back for on the way home! We were on our way by 9 am. We left Kalispell, MT and headed south west.
