Day2: We took the metro and we were Capitol bound. Woo. Taking the metro is an experience by itself for me . The temperature was in late 40s (not bad for DC weather). We covered the Capitol, the reflecting pool. We walked quite a bit and saw a lot of kool historic places. Beautiful fall colors too.

Since Thursday I have been following this situation closely and contacted central reservations for the parks. As of Friday they were 80% functional and as of today things are even better. I am sure with the number of people that visit the park they can’t afford to be closed ...
