... pier, taking in everything it had to offer. There were boats passing by and statues everywhere. There was a couple that had just gotten married and their crew was hogging up the statue made of letters and numbers to take pictures. It was okay though; they were comical to watch. Mirza and I took our fair share of pictures on the pier. Then we headed out to get some deep dish pizza from Gino's. We hopped in a cab and got dropped off ...

... freight has priority on the tracks and those boys can be 100 cars long. Dallas Union Station is right by the JFK grassy knoll/book depository assassination site so we get to tick that off (over lunch). The train creeps to Fort Worth and then makes rather better time down to Temple through increasing ranch territory.
We arrive about an hour late which in the scheme of things is not that long. Definitely only do this if you have time/love trains/don't mind fairly dull scenery.

It has the desired effect and Parker and Aria burst out laughing going "we CAN talk!"They're a pair of pretty, well behaved, sweet blonde girls. Chatty, too; once the ice is broken. Parker is the more ...

... an unexpected chance to visit Chicago for a day. We were given a beautiful room on the 35th floor with a spectacular view of the city. But, like any 4-5 star hotel, the more you pay, the more you pay. Wireless internet was available for $14.95. No free phone calls. Expensive restaurant. There was free internet in the lobby, so once we got settled in the room, we headed down there to get food and connectivity to the world. The food ...
