After over 4,000 miles, 13 different rooms/hotels and visiting over 45 Timmons and 11 Wall family members, NOT TO MENTION Rosie's mom, day and multiple uncles, aunts and of course Theresa, Rich & Ellie Goiffon we are home.

My back and left arm are killing me (Rosie;s favorite driving position.

All in all, a great time.

Believe it or not, we made it: We crossed the continent by bike!

We had been counting down the weeks, days, then the miles. Finally, we came around a corner and the road just stopped. You couldn't go any further and we were at the ocean. The journey had finished.

What did we do then? Initially, we had a swim, then we drank a toast with real champagne. There are pics. After that, a shower followed by a slap-up feed at ...

I am still getting used to the time zone changes. My Grandson, Justin, and I managed to get in 18 holes of golf before the rain set in for the day. Actually, I played 9 and Justin played 18.

... throughout the night, so we unanimously decided to just keep going. We made up a rough watch schedule to break up the nighttime hours, and we figured with an average of 5 knots, we could make it into Norfolk before noon today.

As I turned in for some sleep at 10:00, the wind had just picked up. When I came back up on watch a couple of hours later, we had been averaging a good 6 knots. Although the night was a bit chilly, it was a beautiful one ...
