We had a small picnic on the Lyndhurst lawn overlooking the ducks or geese - I forget which now. Then we headed back to Albany on route 9-W so that Emma could see the western side of the Hudson. We passed through a lot of countryside and small towns on the way to Albany. We went through nice sections of Albany so that Emma could see that they existed. Then on to Schenectady - by then it was DARK!
... is a second Beny's and it's on my street! Now I'm in trouble. When I got back to the neighborhood I headed straight there for a dessert to have after dinner. Tonight I tried their fruit tart. It did not disappoint! That is one of my favorite desserts and this one was the best I've had. I think I might have to stop there everyday and make it my mission to try every dessert in the case. While Adam was successful with a lovely pair of shoes and a belt, it was now nearly 7pm and we were again the shattered looking tourists, but still we searched on and stood in another runners store to no avail. Now we were starving, of course not literally, but for well fed Westerners we were pretty hungry.
