Anyway it was a false alarm. I couldn't get back to sleep so I re-wrote the first day's blog. The first version did not save when I fell asleep at the computer the night before. On reflection not a bad result as I was a bit tired and emotional.

Flight to NYC was long and unenventful. Spare seat next to me made cattle class more comfortable than usual. Actually Cathay Pacific cattle class is very good, good well sprung seat and big touchscreen entertainment system. You just need to like pork though.
