... the activity. Steve and I looked after Aiden while Larissa had a play date. We had a lovely long walk this afternoon enjoying the sun. We stopped for a Starbucks iced coffee. Steve was not impressed but I enjoyed my coffee frappacino. I packed the suitcases this afternoon. ... riding, cycling, boating and fishing, and in summer swimming. At this time of the year the park looked very bleak with dried grasses and many deciduous trees. It also is home to many animals including deer, raccoon, squirrels as well as birds, but they were all hiding today. The lake has largemouth bass, crappie, white bass and catfish. We enjoyed a picnic lunch, playing in the fallen leaves and the playground ...

... s around Dallas and Austin. Hey, at least we got to see another state
of the USA albeit from the runway from a seat in premium economy, yes, you
heard right we got a free upgrade, the power of positive thinking, (note: we did have to pay more for all our checked
baggage, this turned out to be more than what the upgrade was worth!).

Anyway we were only staying the one night
in Dallas and close to the airport so no big deal with the delay. ...

After the longest single hop flight I have ever done - 14hrs 30mins, Sue and I arrived in Dallas at 13:50 on Monday afternoon. The flight was surprisingly comfortable for economy seats and both of us scored a reasonable amount of sleep....the exit row helps a little!

The minute we stepped off the plane you could tell it was pretty cold outside - 40deg F the pilot said (4degrees Celcius).
