On Booking Ahead- or not.
Normally, I am a pre-planner and an advance booker. I feel I get better deals early on and I like to have things (at least important basics) set early such that they don't fill up. Sometimes waiting pays, but very often waiting loses- it's a careful game. I err on the side of wanting things set up- or I have to be willing to be flexible and take chances.

Apparently part of the ritual is for kids to bring large and not so large pieces of cardboard to slide down the hill on.
