    ... and some of the houses along the beach front were beautiful. With the surfers, joggers, bikers, skaters, skateboarders, the mini tennis, handball and basketball courts, the gym at Muscle Beach and the other sporting and fitness facilities all publicly available along the beach there was a lot of activity going on.     ... that I was never going to take. Woohoo.

    Then it was back to the airport and away to the southern hemisphere.

    Overall, I found LA a great place to spend a day. The architecture was surprising and varied. There were a million interesting things to see. And, although the car clearly does rule the roost and there was boredom and concrete in between the interesting stuff, I won't be at all upset the next time I have to fill in a day there.
