... ours visited Chicago for the first time a year before we did, and were very impressed with how friendly and helpful Chicagoans were.. We found the same - people would happily stop in the street to give us directions etc - maybe show us the map on their smartphone. Same with people we met in bars and restaurants - they would gladly offer us advice as to places to go, things to see and so on. Couldn't hope for more ...

... in the University of Chicago campus and went into the church there - the Rockefeller Chapel. It has the biggest Carillion in US. All the way the driver put on snippets of the Chicago songs, 'Chicago, my home town' song, especially as we went along State Street.
