... We were eventually drawn towards the retail shops and the sales that have been on offer since Thanksgiving. "Take an extra 50% off the current sale price" was the norm as we made our way (slowly) through Gap and Macy's. We've heard the sounds of war and we've heard (sung) the sweet sound of "When Peace Like a River" in an acoustically perfect church sanctuary, and heard Bible stories in geographical context.
