Didn't hurry to get going and both slept well. Then to breakfast at The Boulanger Bakery, for ham and cheese croussant and a cappaccino. Was asked "Do want it wet or dry?". Vacant looks......hmm what does that mean? Answer: Wet is with more milk, and dry with more coffee. Chose wet and it was nice. Another lovely day and we're looking forward to going to Google Headquarters for lunch to meet Chris and look around. ...

... cooking required way more effort. Eating out was so cheap in Beijing. I have experience so many funny reverse culture shock.

Later, Mohini and I returned to her place. Her roommate Monica was up. We all decided to cook lunch. It was so nice to not have greasy food. In Beijing, I mainly ate greasy food because that was the only available thing on campus and near UIBE.

Morning all

you have seen the photos...

Now here is the explanation.

We have driven over three thousand miles now. The last week has been fabulous with a drive through Utah's Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley, and a day boating on Lake Powell, fully 15 minutes after the Govenor of Utah signed up to underwrite the wages for the park rangers. We were the first ( and only boat ) in two weeks on the lake.

... 8 to return our rental car. I was so glad about how easy it was! I followed the road I was on down to the airport, where I followed signs for return. No interstate needed. I pulled in, they checked off my car (and I thankfully didn't get charged any extra for returning a few hours early). The guy printed out my receipt, gave me directions to the AirTrain, and I was off. I rode the AirTrain to Terminal 1 to meet my hotel shuttle and after half hour, I was back in ...
