... time to find an ATM, get some cash and break it at the local Boots (similar to a Walgreens) so we wouldn’t be putting 20 pounds into the parking machine. At this point we were freezing and hungry, so we found a pub and stopped in.

... a temporary compost toilet and bush shower, to improve sanitation whilst we are here and for the volunteers – this was vital. We have bought also about ten buckets for storing water. The building has needed a lot of water for cement etc, so we have needed to store water when it is is available. Some days last week the borehole was dry, and this storage was vital. I departed Oxenholme station in late afternoon, after waving my family goodbye I settled into the first stage of my long journey across the world.

After several hours on the virgin train from the north I arrived in
london at Euston, I crossed to Notting hill gate to meet natascha, my
