    We loved our stay at the motel in San Simeon ..would love to come back again soon one day.. Would be great with a few friends. Had a lovely breakfast..and started on our way to Hearst Castle...we didn't end up catching their bus..another 5 miles up the road..tour cost $25 each..but definitely on our list next visit.     ... This particular road section has sheer stone cliffs hugging the road on either side. The night before though it was 40 degrees, there was a huge storm that involved torrential rain, thunder and lightening. I guess this storm caused the road closure so we had to find another route.
