"Buy one, get one for free!!!"
So verloren sie langsam ihre Sinne... sie rechneten nicht mehr mit Geld, sondern mit dem Fakt wieviele Partys noch auf sie zukommen ...
... Do they still operate half day closing? We found out later that it was a public holiday in Queensland (found out because we were being charged an extra 15% for a coffee!), so the jury is still out on their work ethic (no offence Sophie!). The South bank of the river was lovely; the urban beach and pools looked great (girls were moaning about the fact we hadn’t brought their swimmers with us) and the botanical gardens were interesting with a rainforest ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia busafam... of food with Chris and then in the evening us and Chris' mates hired out a kareoke room and had a blast singing in there then went to the club called The Bedroom which was good as it was ladies night so i have some funny pictures for you guys!! Then we got home and me and Chris had a toothpaste fight so not great waking up this morning with toothpaste over me, was very funny though and ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia suziebabe007... I go back up and get the card sorted and finally can pee in the light but the unmarked special switch by the bed seems to do nothing. I hit the beach for an hour which is big and lovely but as the sun comes down the high rise hotels cast gigantic shadows across the beach blocking the sun which is a bit sad to see. I then get some food shopping done at Woolies - the shopping mall its housed in is massive with another wave of surf shops and tourist ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia clairebr... route for the rest of the journey. It was all pretty smooth except for a nasty traffic jam just outside Surfers Paradise due to fact they are converting the streets into a race track in preparation for the Indy Car Races. The next couple of hours were lost to finding a place to park for the night that would'nt cost us anything i.e. near a beach or a quiet car park. This proved pretty difficult as there were signs everywhere that warned of heavy fines for any such activity ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia katieandphill... hell! This time we had to also compete with our roomie Cahill's deformed nostrils and mega mouth snoring - we hate men!!! (or thats what we were saying at 5am!) Eventually fell off to sleep before we ended up strangling the poor sod! Saturday 23rd February After last night's drama ended up not waking from our slumber till 10am - had to catch up somehow! Walked outside to head for Whitewater world park and catch bus - today was even hotter at a staggering 40 ...
Surfers Paradise, Australia flojoy... for an instant (in this instant you say to yourself ("note to brain do not do this straight after lunch") and then you return at speed backwards to where you started from. After this ride we suggested to the boys come on Giant Drop now and they both said "No Way" and were pretty adamant. Daniel said anything but the Giant Drop so off mum and dad took the boys into "Wiggles World" and we all climbed aboard the Big Red Car ride and held on for dear ...
Dreamworld, Australia georgeescapeSo after a quick trip across the Tasman, I arrived in Australia. More specifically at Coolangatta airport on the Gold Coast to begin my jaunt into the land down under. Mark, my mate from back home picked me up and it wasn't long before we were cruising down the gold coast highway. Unfortunately I was still wearing my jeans and jumper from my cold night in the NZ airport and I was ...
Goldy, Australia jagFri 13th Oct - Tues 17th Oct. Good to reach a propper city again after the previous resorty places. A couple of good nights out. The lads met someone they had met in Vietnam a couple of months before and she invited us back to a house party one night. Bumped into the 2 Dutch lads from the Fraser Island trip. Discovered Brisbane's strange ...
Brisbane, Australia stevecarroll... but enough that I could spread the rest of the city out over the next two days. It turns out I may have a **** ton of time on my hands. I did everything I had half planned to do today and half of everything I had planned for the other two days too. I could leave Brisbane today and say I've done the whole CBD. I walked up one street, down the next. I saw the windmill that's not a windmill, I saw St. Stephen's Catherdral (Brisbane's first church), found a whole slew of other ...
