    ... You can just see cars below so I think in your mind you scale them up to 'car size' so being 124 storeys up appears the same as 50 or 75 or 100. Additionally the elevator moves so fast that a sense of height is not really established. Anyway have a slide show or picture peek and be impressed.

    ... place is and what can be built on sand! The reclaimed land forming the 'Palm' looked very impressive but the same cannot be said for the 'World' which just looked like so many blobs of sand but we are assured much of it has already been bought and it will be finished soon. A stroll round the Dubai Mall helped us work off all those cakes, it is massive! You can even catch a chairlift up the ski slope and ski down on artificial snow! Where every designer item was available at full price ...

    ... felt nothing but 1.0G as we were whisked 540 metres into the air in less than a minute. the view from the outdoor observation deck was spectacular but it did confirm to us just how long Dubai stretches from the Dubai Marina in the north to Deira in the south a journey which took out Big Bus 90 minutes and the Metro around 1 hour.     ... way back to the hotel.After,we went out towards the sea and walked along the path before stopping at 'Leopold', where stopped to have dinner.We both had pasta dishes,it was delicious and very filling after dinner we had a walk further along the path to a little market area, then we made our way back to the hotel,checked emails,and arranged to go for breakfast with Holly (Leah's sister) tomorrow morning at 9.30 ...

    ... reminds me fo the futuristic city in Blade Runner. Lots of tall buildings where the architects were allowed to let their imaginations run wild.
