... This tour was with another guide and wasn't nearly as good as the one before. The stories and facts also weren't as good. I expected more ghost stories, but there wasn't a single one. It was still a good way to get oriented and we met some interesting people from all over on the tour. It lasted about an hour and a half.

After the tour, we made our way back to Circular Quay to watch the lights on the Opera House. Until the 9th of June ...

I also only have two more weeks of work. This small sentence fails to convey the hours and hours and piles and piles of paperwork that still sit somewhat immovably on my desk before my official leave begins (i.e. me driving into Lidcombe and leaving my laptop at the ASRC).

... but we found even with free breakfast at our hostel money didn't go as far in Sydney. Back to pasta and sauce for the week! On our last day we checked out of the hostel at 10, and walked with full bags (mine now weighs 18.5kg) and small rucksack (7kg) for a combined weight of too heavy. ... Everything is so well maintained and clean. There are street sweepers out all times of the day and the garbage trucks were even working on Sunday. In this area there was also construction going on. They are building a new convention center.

In the evening after dinner we joined the crowds walking on George Street to check out the activity after dark. It's just as lively as during the day.
