There were loads of wallabies about! They'd eat out of your had, but we're a bit drooly so the food was put on rocks. Plenty of the with joeys in their pouch. Found one that liked to hang around and eat. Drooling everywhere, think he was quite old. He got called Drools.

... made lake nestled among mountains, surrounded by green hills, pine and rain forests. Very picturesque and apart from the palm trees and tropical vegetation it reminded us very much of some regions in Europe - maybe Switzerland or the Jura region of France.
There are lots of things to do and see in this region: Jaques Coffee Plantation, Mt Uncle’s Distillery, Herberton Village, Mangoe Plantations… to name the ones we visited.

Monday 19th May Today was the day I got picked up by Graham from Townsville bus station an hour later than arranged and taken to Rainbow Gardens Farm to start my 3 months Regional farm work. In fact I almost ended up in the wrong ruddy car! When I spoke to Graham on the phone he told me to watch out for his car: a big blue 4x4 with a silver trailer on the back.
