... By the time I walked back to the entrance it was time to get marked off and go home.

Overall I learnt a lot from going there and I would recommend visiting because you can get lots of useful information about some of the animals that could be living around your house. All the staff are helpful and are full of information if you have any question about any animal you're looking at.

... bro's was a great day, and they had some really good rides there. Wet 'n wild was also a good day out, with some superb water slides. We found ourselves very grateful for the theme parks, as they were the only good thing about Gold Coast! The parks were the sole reason we included GC in our plans, so I guess it makes sense. Lots of great walking around there, and a real hidden gem just a short walk from the car park where inside a cave a hole in the roof has formed and water just flows through it like a river creating a spectacular image. ... via Brisbane by air from Canberra. The 600 miles to Brisbane took around 100 minutes and the flight was wonderfully smooth. From 31,000 feet I was able to see several bush fires which although to me appeared serious were nothing compared with what was to follow 3 weeks later.
