... a very well fed piglet and have very cute faces. The echidnas were zooming around all over the place. A bit like a very large hedgehog with a pointed nose. We saw a mad show in the Crocoseum with birds flying around everywhere. We also fed the ‘gorgeous’ elephants (gorgeous was a word used a lot by the presenter). After lunch it was the envitable koala cuddling session – the photos with Leno (son of Ophah) were lovely.
That evening we went ...
... br>After a 5k run (yes, still trying to fit it in when I can!), we then had a walk up the beach itself - it stretches for miles...we also got to see the famous (infamous?) meter maids who are dressed in gold lame bikinis and pay your parking charges for you???? Unfortunately, the camera was not to hand for that one...
... hear anything. Everything was ridiculously expensive, and everyone in there was just so sleazy. Luckily they gave us free admission and drink coupons, so I tried to stay and enjoy myself but could not at all. After about 20 minutes I couldn't take it anymore and left, along with John, Jill, and Jacob. I'll never ever ever ever EVER go to a night club again. We were going to stop by one more bar for a nightcap, but it was cold an windy, so in the end we called it a night.
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia edg126Samantha - We left Byron early so as to avoid the heat. Unfortunately, only 10 minutes up the road we witnessed a fatal accident on the highway which was a bit of shock for us. Alex handled it really well and we ended up going back to Byron Bay to give a statement at the police station. Once we got back on the road, it was lunch time and the ...
Surfers Paradise, Australia samandalex... clubs/bars open all day new years day. We ended up having no sleep, we just had a shower got changed and went back out to party again at Billys Beach House. It is a club playing loads of funky music from midday until 10pm by the end of the day everyone was in the pool and the jacuzzi it was mad. Oh and Vannilla Ice was playing as well. Suffering in work this week, cant wait to have a sleep in tomorrow.
Surfers Paradise, Australia pinklaura123... I don't know, I didn't try. It is also very much a young person's town, lined with boutiques, pubs, reatauraunts and, obviously, young people, and all of this give it a thriving party atmosphere. I liked the surface of it, the beach was beautiful, but I was glad that I was only daytripping, I didn't want to stay. My supposition of a paradise frequented by surfers, that was, well, secluded other than for the waves shows how little attention I ...
Surfer's Paradise, Australia sahs... other large group of kids waiting for the tube to go on the ride! We intended to stay at the park until the end as the rides were great but as we were literally starting to hurt from the cold we thought we better call it a day. Luckily we found a campsite just across the road from the water park and as we were setting up the tent all of a sudden the sky went black, we looked up to see thousands of bats flying overhead, it was pretty amazing to see.
Surfers Paradise, Australia lynnandhevLast Thursday night I ran my little **** off all night at work as they had a function on for 300 people, which is a **** load of washing up for me and the 3 other kithen porters(called stewards over here) who were working. I got through it though and was made to feel a little bit better by the free 3 course meal that I got for doing it, including a fillet steak! I got out of there just after midnight. As I was walking home I received a load of ...
Brisbane, Australia bluenoseontour... anyways it was a disappointing lost. i found a favorite player though...his name is jason acker (maybe its ackerman...they abbreviate everything here). he has bleach blond hair, is shorter than the typical afl player but is scrappy, quick and pretty much scored all of brisbane's points. i knew i picked the good players. sunday was my last day in brisbane but my flight didnt leave until 9 pm so we took a semi-road trip north to the sunshine coast. this was about an hour and 20 ...
Sydney/Brisbane, Australia badgerbabe3424... t see any dolphins or anything like that but I've definitely got a taste for this underwater lark now and there'll always be a piece of me on Wave Break Island. Mainly because I stepped on a sharp stone and took a bit of skin off my foot. Ouch
