... but Sarah was putting hers on and taking it off as the weather alternated between bright, hot sunshine, and cool, overcast wind. There were storms forecast for that evening, so I suspect it was slowly building up through the afternoon.

We walked over a bridge to an Island called 'Aspen Island" and saw the National Carillon, a Carillon is a musical instrument, of bronze bells, this one has 55 bronze bells which is large by world standards, there is a programme for concerts being played during the winter months, we will try to attend one.

There is a lot of exploring to do around the Lake yet, more weekends to come.

... a spruce up we headed back into Canberra and after a stop at the Dickson Shops for some food and drink, we went over to see our friends Justin and Laurel and their boys. Pizza for dinner and a bit of X-box 360 for the boys. Was a fun night catching up on old times.
