It was a very early Sunday morning start for Sarah and I as we headed off on our Settlers Hut trek.

With a short stop Conder McDonald's for an all important coffee, we headed out to Namadgi National Park and along Naas and Boboyan roads to Brayshaw's Homestead and the start of the Settlers Hut Walking Track.

... because my past experiences are giving me doubt, I think of something my father always said to me, in his booming, theatrical way. “POUR BOLDLY”, he would say dramatically, gesticulating accordingly.

In reality, we were always at the dinner table and I would be attempting to pour a drink from a very full bottle into my glass. He was trying to avoid the mess that comes when you pour timidly. It spills absolutely everywhere!

When we woke up, we went to the buffet breakfast. I had bacon, baked beans, 2 hash browns, a sausage, orange juice, hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin. It was delicious.

After breakfast we went to Questacon, which is a science museum with 8 galleries. My favourite thing was the 6 metre free fall, which I did 3 times. We also went in the earthquake house, which measured 8 on the Richter scale. The house shook, the ...
