Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg the amusement and adventureland of Tennessee. Never seen so many different mini golf courses, go cart tracks, and other attractions lining a main city street. These places are alive with tourists and cause major traffic jams. Don't travel on fridays we learnt.

Most yearlings are on their own by June so we had a clingy mom or a reluctant-to-leave child but they hung around for about 10 minutes. We drove down route 66 past the outlets and shops and dinner theaters and tourist traps to the Walmart in Seviereville. It was a great day!
... I may add! We were told we did very well for a team of two and I have to say we had lots of fun! It was great being in the Chrystal maze type environment and I would certainly recommend doing it, or something similar in the uk! Anyway, now we find ourselves deep in the woods in the Smoky Mountains, quite a change of pace to what we've had so far on our trip. It's so quiet her, well, except for the wildlife!
