Today, we could hear our surroundings again, which mostly meant silence and time to day dream and think, making the day pass pleasantly. The morning in Steamboat was successful. We managed to find a replacement cable for Nadine's iPad (so we can keep uploading photos from the camera), ate a delicious continental breakfast of granola, yogurt, bagels, waffles, orange juice, ...

The winds changed rapidly, blowing billowy clouds overhead that occasionally dropped a few wet drops on us as we relaxed in the clearing. ... and Battle Mountain Pass were amazing, despite the haze from the forest fires. We stopped at Camp Hale, the WWII training grounds for the 10th Mountain Division.
