... offered to take over my camera to prevent another selfie from happening. Then more of the same... Hot tub, poolside bistro, will sure miss this. Happy hour in The Cabin of the Steamboat Grand was calling. Patrick made me a margarita as per my instructions with my fave tequila for only $13, and we had an early dinner of happy hour tapas. We met some similar tequila loving locals and had some laughs with them over Canadian stereotypes. Apparently we find ketchup too ...

From here we climbed for eleven miles up to Lynx Pass ...

    ... camping curry dinner!

The following morning, we continued gaining elevation until we reached 10,000-feet for the first time in Colorado. After a few more hours on this well-graded dirt road, we leveled off when we reached the junction with State Highway 8 that runs between Meeker on the West and Yampa on the East. The White River runs along the side of this two-lane road, providing ample opportunity for accessible fishing.
