    ... it was rather nice again.

    The biggest problem with the rain was that it meant there was nowhere to sit, and standing at the back of the boat seems rather odd when you aren't in control of the tiller, plus Carrie moans that she can't see round me.

    We had a destination of Hopwas to reach for lunch time on the 12th so the plan was to get as far as we could before mooring up for the night.

    ... meals which was good as the plan was to just keep going as late as we could and stop when we ran out of energy or light. But first we stopped at Shugborough Hall.

    Had a pretty uneventful journey back up to the Middlands, even the M25 was clear. Staying on a nice site in Drayton Bassett on a farm next to some entertaining chickens, a couple of sheep and a few cows.
