Refreshed and surprisingly non-jet-lagged, we bounced out of bed to go exploring in Chicago (we'd crash later of course - even First Class travel can't dispel jet-lag altogether!). Part of our bounciness was due to the strong coffee at breakfast, but it was mostly due to the first order of business for the day: the Chicago Segway tour! We had to really cram as much into today as we possibly could. Allowing ourselves a late-ish start of 9.00, I was determined to taste the pleasures of the hotel's Spa. Wonderful facilities- a steam room that has me wondering if we can have one like it at home; a sauna which was not as unbearably hot as they normally are; a herbal sauna room with rosemary and sage crisping in the heat (which made me think there may have been a leg of lamb cooking in ...
... followed by Crab Cake and a Cosmopolitan to be finished up with a tuna stack and Cosmopolitan - Hic.....
So have made the most of it and tomorrow the work starts. Agent presentations tomorrow night but at the computer doing emails and other bits and pieces which will take most of the day, reminding myself a girl is not here on holiday.
Next time I will get to blog will be Tuesday from Dallas I think.

A majority of the animals were indoors. but one poor polar bear, one tiger and a lion were left out to play, all on there own and it wasn't the best fun to watch them pacing. The ugly smelly camels at the other end of the park seemed happy enough though.
