We checked in to our apartment in Grand Monastery. We bought some brekkie groceries in the supermarket and then settled down for the night, after a beer or 2 of course! Next morning we excitedly got up, breakfast sorted and headed to the Malina ski centre to collect our skiis and lift passes. We got ...

Even though no one was really clad for the walking conditions, it was a beautiful walk in the mountains, breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the alpine views.

... drove us over some of the worst roads he'd ever seen. Potholes the size of bomb craters along the 17 km trip to the sanctuary. When it rains this road becomes a river, with massive rifts through it. Halfaway up this near-impassable road, the group saw a half finished hotel. WHY??? In the middle of absolutely nowhere with the crappiest roads, someone thought it prudent to build a hotel. We also saw a couple of what looked like restaurants and someone else had a 10 ...

... as both Baba's had also consumed a fair amount of Rakia by this stage and appeared to be dancing to different rythyms. We joined in with gusto and showed them how Aussies could also shake their booty.

After the disco session, the Baba's grabbed some of the other girls and shuffled them next door and taught them how to make the local pom poms. The girls came back a while later proudly displaying their hand made souvenirs. All in all, a very entertaining night.
