    ... spread. Why can't people be accepting of what is on offer when it is on offer? Somewhere had to be the most basic brekkie and this was it but nobody seemed to be starving. I enjoyed the olives, realizing those in Bulgaria are not as good. The Brits are being attacked by midgies [maybe they have wedgies] but this gentleman has not been bitten, obviously cuz I'm too sweet.

    The usual tad late leaving after 0800. Guru, Sand, Jools Baby, John, Roddy, Peta Baby ...

    ... the hotel around 1 and you know what that means...nana nap time! So after some serious snoozing, we got up around 2 and wandered around the village of Bansko, heading down some lovely little alleyways and spent the rest of the day just chillling out in local bars and cafés drinking beer and coffee and relaxing and catching up on our photos and blog time.

    ... would train these poor bears in this Pavlovian way. Some bears were blind, as they plied them with alcohol to get them to perform better. They would put a nail through their very sensitive nose and lead them along or jerk them to get a reaction. They also had their claws removed. Pretty horrific stuff

    This sanctuary had been set up by the Brigitte Bardot foundation back in 2000 and there is no entry fee, so definitely a worthy cause. It costs around $7.50 ...

    ... our walk about. Death Notices. Not placed in the local paper as we do, but rather, printed A4 sheets of paper, laminated and pinned on buildings all about the town. Sometimes with a black bow. We understand that these notices can stay up for years.
    The mother of our landlady had died since the last time our guide, Andie, was passing through here, and although she knew about it, she was quite moved when we came across her notice on a bus stop wall, as we walked about ...

    ... really boarded I these conditions before and it was quite an experience. The afternoons became way too slushy though so our best work was in the morning.
