Denmark can be summed up with four words: family, eat, drink, sleep! We had a great time with the Danish family and they made sure that we wouldn't be hungry for about 2 months. The days were filled with eating yummy Danish food, playing games, watching football, short walkings at the beach and drinking beer / red wine. Very enjoyable and relaxing after a busy few weeks getting ready to leave the UK. Hours on the train: 17.5 Countries visited: ...

I started the day with a run (my first in quite a while) which was a great way to explore the village. I ran through the village, the grounds of the castle, the small forest on the edge of the village, then past the marina. It's truly a beautiful piece of Europe. Since I was really hot when I got back from the run, I took our host's suggestion that I take a swim at the beach across the road from their house. As soon as I put my head under I realised they weren't being serious. ...

      Rain in Denmark

Here we are and a little disappointed with the weather (rain) but the coffee is fine and we are still on holiday! The rain eventually cleared giving fine views of the crossing to the main island with Copenhagen. Camping Tarup is a lovely spot and we had an excellent pitch with views out to sea and also of the main bridge from the island ...
