      ... a subway lunch to save a few pennies!

      We continued up to China Town and stumbled into a street fight with a guy waving around a 6" knife!! Not the welcome to Canada we were hoping for!! Anyway we quickly diverted and when we got to China Town we pretty much took one look and that was the end of that. Not our cup of tea. We turned back, walked down to the Calgary Tower, took a few snaps then onto the Olympic Plaza park where we just sat and chilled for a while ...

      Cathie and I had lemonade with my other cousin Carol and her grandson Hayden. Then back to the house to prepare for supper. Well, Denny and Cathie prepared supper and I hung out.

      ... in store and then get the licence plates, but like the store the call centre closed at 1700. With beading sweat on my brow I got my documents out and set up office in the waiting area as I was on hold on the phone. I got through to the call centre within about 5 minutes and paid for my insurance over the phone. I then got my insurance printed at the desk and went to register the car. I was in line and I think it went 1730, but luckily I wasn't kicked out. ...

      ... holy windy...we had to stop on the hiway coming south as the crosswinds were trying to tear the awnings off the side of the RV. Standing in the fuel stop, in shorts was not unlike standing in a sandblaster...don't know how anyone tolerates living there....the good thing is that we have turned east and now have a tail wind. And so for our first night out, we had hoped to make Fort Peck as we have been here before and it is usually a good place ...
