We arrived very excited and happy to see Colombia at last. I kept looking out the window on the plane and taking pictures. The taxi ride took us 45 minutes round and round this mountain and you look out and see what seemed to be miles and miles of mountains and a huge city, it was just amazing. I will be trying to post the important things to you all, my readers, like photographs and where we ate, food reviews, costs, ect. I lept a diary and I'll come back after and write our stories!!

... cute Black Sheep Hostel, located in a residential Patio Bonito, we walked up the street to have dinner. On the way into the restaurant Devin's flip-flop finally gave it and broke. Traveling in this style is really ******* sandals, I've already gone through three pairs. So Devin had to walk all the way back to the hostel, in a really nice area, barefoot.
The next ...
... etc, etc. not the real Medellin, but a nice chance from staying in the sh*t parts of towns in hostels.
I got back to the hostel and wasted time eating and playing on the net before getting the last bus to Salento that night.
Medellin was a fun place. The most beautiful women ive ever seen, ample alcohol and drugs, football, and definately nice to stay in a richer area of town for once and do some silly things like visit the water park instead of museums and churches!
... the day apart from watch tv, its just another city really. The weather didn't help either: more often than not it was absolutely bucketing down on us; the rain seems to be following us around these days, most unwelcome (especially when you hear that its gorgeous back home!). We took a ride on the Teleferico alright, but this isn't actually a tourist thing at all really, the cable car is simply an extension of the city's metro providing access to the hillside communities. Thats ...
Medellin, Colombia roryd... if you ignore the grafitti). Back to the hotel to be handed keys to another room while they fixed the hot water. Must have been quite a problem because no sooner had I carried the last item out of my old room than a couple of plumbers squeezed past me and started knocking a hole in a wall! It was then back into town to update the blog and confirm my accommodation in Monesterio tomorrow night. Although the meal I´d had earlier wasn´t great it was nevertheless pretty ...
Mérida, Extremadura, Spain and Canary Islands jamie_pete... have been more than happy to help us and introduce us to their culture. Back at the hostel there were lots of festivities, and after hanging out at the hostel bar a few nights we were both ready to move on with our travels. Yesterday we decided to take the bus trip to Manizales despite being warned that parts of the road had been closed off due to landslides. The ¨bus¨ we were supposed to take turned out to be a van, and I ...
Medellin, Colombia seanathon11... off, giving the day an eerie feel. After looking at the ruins, we headed to the Museo Nacional de Arte Romano (National Museum of Roman Art), which is in a really nice and new modernist brick and glass building right across the street from the ruins. The museum, due to its design, uses almost all natural light. It contains an impressive collection of sculptures, artifacts, and mosaics from the region's ancient history.
Poco espacio dentro... Muchos roces de nuestras carnes... Muchas vueltas... En definitiva, muchas risas. Mañana será otro día de viaje y aventura. No os perdáis el video!!!" Besitos para ellas, abrazos para ellos
Mérida, Spain and Canary Islands unatierralibre... to be no denying. A plate was ordered, along with some calamari. We were miles from the coast, but it was oh so tender. We washed it down with Spains finest. To warm for Rioja, so the local beer was had. **** the drugs I say. Beer is good for you !!! Breakfast Espressos followed by toasted tomato bread the way the Spanish do it, and as I had not died of cancer, more Jamon. We washed it down with a cafe con leche Alcazaba After driving around all ...
